Who are we?

Approved installers:

Concept

The idea for this project came from a proposal presented on the WordPress Support Forums mailing list.

This project was started with the principle that the installation of WordPress should not be a hurdle to a person wanting to use the software. In the past, some people have had problems installing WordPress and have simply given up. Others have struggled with the installation process and have had to ask for help at the WordPress Support Forums. In either case, problems with the installation meant that people got discouraged and never got WordPress up and running. That’s not good! And that’s what this project seeks to overcome.

At the WordPress Support Forums there are knowledgeable, experienced, and trusted people, who can help with installing WordPress. So, it makes sense for the Forum volunteers to lend a helping hand to individuals before they get frustrated and abandon WordPress.

Trust

Trust is a big issue with the volunteers providing this service to you. In order for this service to work, you must trust your login and password information to someone else. We understand that might, and should, concern you. To alleviate that concern, please know that the volunteers for this project were nominated by their peers and that if asked, the majority of subscribers to the WordPress Support Forums mailing list would give a thumbs-up to the Install4Free volunteers.

Simply stated, the people doing these installs can be trusted with your information. Your information will be used for the installation process only, then it will be removed from their computer. It will not be stored anywhere. So can you really trust us? Yes you can.
